Such a beautiful Roastery with excellent coffee and service. Their specialty grade coffees are roasted on-site daily. They also have a wide variety of coffee tools and equipment to purchase. The lead roaster, Freddy, was super knowledgable. Being served an espresso makes you feel like you are a judge at a barista competition, complete with a card to explain the flavour notes and sparkling water to cleanse your pallet. Truly beautiful space. Coming with high expectations, I left with somewhat mixed feelings about their flat white - I would've added a touch more espresso and used low lactose milk, the milk they poured felt way too intense in milk fat and I hardly tasted the beans underneath. Anyway, I'll definitely hop on for a v60 or an aeropress. I really liked customer service, much as the place itself. ~ Konstantin S

We had a wonderful experience with Freddy the barista in 2023 and then again in 2026 with Easy I don't drink coffee but he made us a delicious delicate drip coffee and brought out samples and showed us the roastery. They put a lot of effort into sourcing sustainable beans and giving credit to the growers. Definitely visit for great coffee and a learning expreience. ~ Florence B

I did the home barista course here, and it was a wonderful experience. Our instructor David was extremely knowledgeable, as he had personal experience with every aspect of coffee making, from farming to being a barista. His teaching was hands on, easy to understand and very engaging. Also, the goodie bags were a delightful and exciting plus, and we got a free bag of coffee of our choice! ~ Ali P

The flat white was amazing. I took home 3 bags of pourover beans! And atmosphere is chill, not intimidating. Very homey and spacious. The barista, Primrose was so kind and attentive. Asked me about my coffee and initiated conversation. I’m on a short visit to Dubai but I’ll come back when I get the chance. ~ Diane T

I highly recommend the Barista course provided by Grandmother barista Ogik. He is an excellent instructor. The course is enjoyable, easy, and accessible for beginners. Ogik makes it a very easy experience for everybody involved. It also includes with a complimentary Hario V60 Kit and bag of beans. Highly recommended. ~ Bryan A

Definitely love the Vanilla Bean Latte. Please try it out. The staff is friendly and really gave good recommendations. I love their warm and nice welcome. I only had it as a take out. But the cafe is a nice cozy place to hang out too. It is definitely conducive for relaxing and hanging out with friends. ~ Jaymie D

Discovered this place by accident and I’m glad I did, the interior is really cool and the coffee selection is great, the staff was really helpful and there was a cupping event going on while I was there and it’s sure is interesting to see the professionals doing that live. 🙏 ~ Emirhan K

I have been to many roasteries in the UAE and Grandmother is easily my favorite. Very friendly and engaging staff. Amazing coffee whether you want filter or espresso. My favorites are the Rwanda Anaerobic for filter coffee and Guava Banana for a cortado. A must try for all coffee lovers. ~ Ahmed A
